Civil Engineer working for an established engineering consultancy in the heart of Manchester

Your new company
Your new company is a well known multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with a number of offices across the UK. The Manchester office is a flagship one for the business, providing a range of design services across for projects across the North of England. The civil & structural teams work on a wide variety of projects, including commercial, residential, industrial developments. They are also top of the listed on some large scale aviation and infrastructure frameworks across the UK. Due to organic growth, a need has risen for a civil engineer to join the Manchester office.

Your new role
In your new role you will be working within a strong and recognised civil team based in the heart of Manchester. You will be involved in providing design work for a number of high profile highways & drainage design projects. Within this role you will be using design software such as Micro Drainage and Civil 3D. You will also be actively involved with S278, 38, 104 & 106 agreements. People management will be a part of this role with you helping develop graduates and technicians. Project management is also key within this position as you will be involved with site management and giving regular updates to clients and other key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong civil engineering background, having previously worked on highways and drainage design projects in the UK. You must have at minimum of 3 years experience contributing to civil design work using civil 3D, Micro Drainage or AutoCAD. Project management experience is also key, experience working on a number of schemes at one time.
