Senior Structural Engineer

Our client is a global engineering consultancy firm who are well-known within the industry for their extensive Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Construction & Digital engineering expertise, and they currently have an opening for a Senior Structural Engineer to join the team in their central London office on a full-time permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have the willingness and ability to liaise with existing clients and establish new clients in conjunction with Associate Directors and Associates.

Responsibilities:

• Active involvement in all assigned projects including project programming and monitoring,
• Assist with coordination and management of project team,
• Preparation of preliminary designs,
• Design and design documentation reviews,
• Assist Project Director with fee proposal development,
• Assist with selection of subcontracted consultants,
• Undertake project cost control practices and assist with compilation of project invoices,
• Negotiation of fee variations with clients in conjunction with Project Director,
• Training and direction of all Engineers under their direction,
• Coordinating resource requirements with the Associates,
• Detailed design and design checking,
• Site inspections and liaison.

Requirements:

• A degree in civil or structural engineering,
• A Chartered Engineer,
• A minimum of 8 years' experience,
• A minimum of 5 Years' experience in design and design Development,
• Previous experience of mentoring other team members.
