Structural Project Engineer

As part of the engineering management team you will oversee project design and delivery. This will entail developing conceptual designs and supervising detail design, whilst working closely with clients through to project completion. The breadth of work will incorporate steel, concrete, timber and masonry projects for new, refurbishment and conservation schemes.
Working alongside two structures directors you will manage a small team of engineers and technicians, with responsibility for programming, quality and providing support and guidance to technical staff. There are excellent prospects for career development with plans for the successful candidate to join the firm’s senior management team.
A background in building structures consulting engineering is essential. This should have given you broad project experience of design and delivery. You should be a degree qualified engineer and ideally be chartered with the ICE or IStructE. Alternatively, you should be an incorporated engineer or on the cusp of chartership. Finally, their collaborative style of working and customer care requires well developed interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexible working will continue when current restrictions are lifted meaning a presence in the office would be required two to three days per week. The company has a supportive and friendly working culture that has resulted in low staff turnover.
