Full or part time (22hr/wk+ pro rata)

The Engineering Design Team is looking for a number of experienced Highway Engineers to join our expanding team. 

With the support of a Principal Engineer Team Manager, you will play a leading role in agreeing project briefs with our internal clients and taking projects through from concept to completion, assisted by our team of Engineering Technicians and Assistant Engineers.

You will have a proven track record in the design and delivery of a wide range of highway projects and be able to demonstrate a wide-ranging knowledge of design standards and delivery processes.

You will be experienced in contract preparation and administration, as well as dealing with contractors. It would be an advantage if applicants could demonstrate a good understanding of delivering cycle, bus priority and public realm infrastructure in an urban environment.

We would welcome applications from engineers who can demonstrate appropriate experience in writing contract documents and who have a track record of administering NEC contracts.  

You will be proficient and able to guide others in the use of computer-based methods for design, document preparation and project programming.

You will join us on the career grade applicable to your qualifications and experience and will be supported to attain your professional qualifications and encouraged to undertake further training to assist you to progress through the career grade.
