We are seeking to recruit a Shift Production Manager to join one of Northern Ireland best known employers, working on a night shift from their impressive manufacturing facility in Craigavon. Our client is a leader in the pharmaceutical sector, a global exporter, an award-winning employer and a company that continue to grow and expand their operations across Ireland.


Your new role
In your new role of Production Shift Manager you will be tasked with managing the night shift of the packaging operations department. As the new shift manager, you will effectively drive the supervisory management team and take ownership for areas such as quality, material consumption, labour costs, production output and upkeep of the facility on shift. You will be expected to plan, manage and take ownership for overall shift performance. As the senior person on shift you are expected to implement process improvement initiatives. Together with senior management you will assist in the preparation of budgets and provide feedback on key issues. A key aspects of the role is to ensure supervisory and operator structures support the demands of the business and are flexible to react quickly to changing situations. Other areas you will take ownership for include balancing shift staff skill sets, shift handovers, staff training and use of key production equipment.


What you'll need to succeed
To prove successful in securing the role of Shift Production Manager you should be coming with a Degree or equivalent and previous management experience within production operations. It is vital you have worked in a highly regulated production environment such as food or pharma etc. To make the required impact in this role you should have excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
