Head of Quality

Working for an established manufacturer in the FMCG industry as Head of Quality

Your new company
They are an established manufacturer with a global reach operating in over 30 different countries providing a range of products across the world to some very large global corporations. The site has been producing for numerous products for over 50 years and has no sign of slowing down.

Your new role
You will report directly into the CEO and you will manage the QA team and budgets and a quality management system making sure you adhere to the quality standards of the company and industry. You will be working closely with the R&D team throughout and aiding in continuous improvement. You will have to lead 3rd party audits and internal audits as well as making sure the work environment especially the clean room is clean. Training and development will be something you will help create for new quality staff and you will have to work with regulators. You will look out for risks in quality and manage the relevant tests on products are completed per specifications. You will implement a CAPA program and reports on how quality is performing.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a minimum of a degree in Food Science, Pharmaceuticals or a related area. 4 years experience in a senior management role is required and 8 years in a GxP manufacturing site. You will need to work effectively with your team and communicate across the business. Experience in food safety and managing your own workload is essential and knowledge of global markets would be highly beneficial. Experience in a similar environment would be beneficial and strong computer skills would be helpful. Developing and managing budgets would be preferred.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary between £75,000 - £90,000 per annum DOE and will have the opportunity to work in a fast growing company and manage a great team. You will receive 28 days annual leave including bank holidays and be enrolled into the company pension scheme. You will also receive extra bonuses once passing probationary period.
