Senior Engineer - Structures Advanced

Our Engineering Consultancy is a forward-thinking in-house business unit offering a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities. We provide design, project management, and financial / contract management services from early stages of a project through to supervision of actual construction.
Working in the Structures Section, you'll be responsible for project management and design of a wide variety of bridge maintenance, strengthening and replacement schemes, as well as client duties and the inspection and assessment of bridges and other highway structures.
You'll have significant experience in asset management, design and construction of bridges and highway structures, and will ideally be a chartered civil or structural engineer. Experience in the management and mentoring of junior staff would also be an advantage. You should have a thorough understanding of relevant design standards (Eurocodes), construction methods and contract procedures.
You'll be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire [and the Isle of Wight or other local authority], and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
