Project Manager for Heavy Civils & Earthworks scheme in Lancashire

Working for a specialist Civil Engineering Contractor, they are a leading and reputable Organisation who specialise across the Civil Engineering sector

Your new role
You'll be working on a new project starting in Lancashire as the Project Manager on site. This is a key project for this Contractor, so they require a strong leader to run this project, and be at the forefront of driving the scheme

You'll be managing the site consisting of up to 20 operatives on site, incl a Site Engineer, Works Manager and other key stakeholders involved in the project. You'll be articulate, an effective communicator, and be confident in liaising with external bodies such as design teams, local authorities and key, local civic authorities

You'll be driving the programme of works, producing RAMS, be responsible for all H&S and be hugely competent with NEC

The nature of the works includes: Earthworks, Remediation, Ground stabilisation, Groundworks, Drainage & some Highway works

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a proven leader in driving Heavy Civils projects and competent managing projects of £5m+. You'll have experience managing Civils teams on site, and be a technical problem solver, and drive autonomy and robust procedures

You must have experience in managing Heavy Civils projects (not commercial or residential groundwork schemes)

What you'll get in return
The project duration is c.16 months+, so they will consider both freelance, and permanent applications for this role. Remuneration is dependant upon experience and contract expectation
