Senior Design Engineer - Rail

Your new company
The company has a wealth of knowledge across all areas of civil and structural engineering, with a broad range of experiences and specialisms within the practice. The company provides technical services on a stimulating range of projects, including:
* Marine - piers and jetties, sea and river walls, ports, and harbours. A local recent significant project completed was the design of the new pleasure pier at Felixstowe
* Structural engineering - across residential, commercial, healthcare, industrial and leisure settings.
* Infrastructure - flood defences, drainage, pavements, pre-planning, and roads.
* Rail - civil and structural engineering on all aspects of rail infrastructure including stations, depots, bridges, culverts, retaining walls, gantries.

Your new role
Project management duties and lead projects.
* Preparation of calculations and checking in accordance with relevant technical standards.
* Carrying out site inspection, supervision and survey work as required.
* Attending meetings.
* Working with other staff to deliver project work as required.
* Assisting and guiding technicians in the production of drawing work.
* Preparing and checking reports.
We have roles available within Structures and Rail, with opportunities to work on projects across the business.

What you'll need to succeed
A minimum 2:1 degree in civil or structural engineering. HNC or equivalent may be considered, providing that experience compensates for the lack of a degree.
* At least four years post graduate experience in a civil /structural/rail design engineering role.
* Ambitious, motivated individuals wanting to fully embrace working within a small but busy practice.
