This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. The Council is in the middle of an ambitious £40million 5 year roads infrastructure investment programme. We are expanding our Assets & Infrastructure and Transportation & Development teams in order to deliver on a wide range of priority infrastructure related projects across Renfrewshire. We are looking for two Roads & Transportation Project Officers, who are enthusiastic people with the skills and experience to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic benefit for Renfrewshire. You will have a passion for providing high quality services to the public and driving service improvements and organisational change.
Based at Renfrewshire House, Cotton Street, Paisley, you will direct the work of contractors engaged on a wide range of infrastructure related projects, including road safety, resurfacing, traffic signal improvements and delivering our new £1.2million Community Investment Fund. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a specific programme of interventions targeted at improving the road network and surrounding assets in Renfrewshire.
It is essential that you relevant professional qualification in roads or equivalent experience as well as experience in multi-disciplinary project work. You will have effective organisational, time management skills, written and verbal communication skills, and project management skills and be able to develop and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
It is desirable that you experience of working with key partners to develop and deliver projects.
