This is an exciting time to be joining Renfrewshire Council. The Council has committed its largest ever investment into its Road Asset Infrastructure with an ambitious £40million investment over a 5-year period. We are expanding our Assets & Infrastructure team and we are looking for a Roads Technician to work within our Capital Investment team to deliver our ambitious agenda to provide maximum economic benefit for Renfrewshire.

You will be responsible for the assessment, design and implementation of road network improvements and investment in roads related infrastructure in accordance with the necessary legislative framework and relevant codes of practice.

It is essential that you have a HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent demonstrable experience. Experience of management of Health & Safety including CDM Regulations 2015 and experience of supervision of contractors including performance appraisal and a proven track record of transportation projects and financial management is also essential. You will have effective organisational, time management skills, written and verbal communication skills.

Experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders is desirable.
