Currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Civil Engineer who will be involved in the direction of Civil Engineering Design from initial concept design through to construction and commissioning.
Your new role
You will take lead responsibility in joining a multidisciplinary engineering design team working on a diverse range of prestigious projects. You will support the delivery of a wide range of projects, ranging in size and complexity across England, by managing the production of drawings and reports and preparing and co-coordinating civil specifications. You will manage the project team to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and within budget, along with providing technical guidance and mentoring to the team. You will be working with stakeholders & engineers internally and externally, attending meetings and communicating with clients to establish their needs. Your role will involve projects in the following areas; Roads infrastructure, site development works, water and sewerage infrastructure for a variety of clients including both public and private sector.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have excellent people, technical and delivery skills and these will be employed to deliver projects for a varied client base. You have a minimum of 4 years relevant experience preferably in a design environment and you are a Chartered Engineer or approaching Chartered Status. You have previous experience of leading the technical delivery of civil engineering projects and a background in highway infrastructure design including securing approvals under Section 38 & Section 278, knowledge of 3D modelling and earthworks designs. You can demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience working on large scale drainage and water supply projects including securing Section 94, 104 & 185 technical approvals and knowledge of SUDs. You are also passionate about developing more junior staff by technical training and mentoring. You have competency in report writing and good project management experience.
