Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Working for a FMCG business in the Burnley area primarily on evenings for 38 hours per week in maintenance.

Your new company
They are an established manufacturer who have enjoyed 2 record breaking years recently. They have been operating for well over 50 years and have no intention of slowing down. The culture in Engineering is strong and they tend to stay long term.

Your new role
You will be conducting mainly Mechanical Maintenance on a heavy duty conveyor system as well as packaging machinery. They have large scales and shrink wrap machinery that will require PPM and reactive maintenance throughout your shift. You will mainly be working evenings however the times are flexible as long as 38 hours a week are done. You will be logging and maintaining documentation of tasks. Electrical fault finding is a small part of the role as well and you will have to adhere to their health and safety protocols.

What you'll need to succeed
You should have a relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering and be willing to be flexible for the company in regards to peak seasons. You will need some electrical fault finding knowledge and be an effective communicator whilst part of the engineering team. You will need experience in an FMCG/Packaging environment previously to have the best chance of getting this role.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly rate of about £13.50 per hour. You will be enrolled into the company pension scheme and can earn overtime with extra hours or you can claim them hours back. You will receive 32 days annual leave including bank holidays. You will also receive free parking on site.
