About the role
The Drainage Engineer role is to provide support to the Flood Risk and Drainage Manager to undertake the statutory requirements set out in the Land Drainage and Flood and Water Management Acts. The role will also require the individual to design, detail, and monitor drainage schemes as standalone projects or as part of larger multidisciplinary infrastructure and building structures projects. The design and installation of SuDS is an increasingly important aspect of the role.
The role requires the individual to liaise with clients, stakeholders, statutory bodies, and the public.
