A company are seeking a Transport Planner to join their Transport Planning team, based in Leicestershire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and passionate individual to join a busy team, providing transport access solutions to help unlock development sites and deliver successful outcomes for our clients.

The position is based in Hugglescote, Leicestershire; therefore, you must live within daily commuting distance of the office. Some hybrid working is available.

Key role responsibilities:

Undertake Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans to support planning applications for various private sector clients.Liaise with clients, colleagues and statutory bodies including Planning Authorities and Highway Authorities, to ensure efficient progress with project commissions.Help to deliver excellent customer service.Undertake junction assessments using industry standard software including JUNCTIONS, LINSIG and TRICS; andFollow a continued professional development/programme of training and achieve a minimum of 12 days continuing professional development (CPD) per year.Key skills, experience and attributes required:

A minimum qualification of a degree or degree level - ideally in Geography, Environmental Management or Transport Planning.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint specifically) and have strong analytical skills.Either have or are working towards professional membership with CIHT.Organised and methodical with a keen eye for quality and the ability to solve problems effectively.Able to work both independently and as part of a team and have the necessary skills and experience to work under pressure to deadlines and budgets.Self-motivated with a positive attitude, pro-active approach, and desire to develop a career in the field of Transportation, with development support; andExperience using AutoCAD and Transport Software (i.e., JUNCTIONS, LINSIG, TRICS).
