We are seeking to recruit a number of Project Design Engineers to join a leading manufacturing firm to work from their facility in Greater Belfast. Our client is supplier to the building & construction industry with most of their business being in the commercial sector. A global organisation, this company has seen significant growth within their local operation and are seeking to strengthen their project team as a result.


Your new role
As one of the new Project Design Engineers you will be responsible for preparing accurate drawings which meet customer specifications which ensure that considering is given to installation constraints. You will work closely with internal teams to ensure that you have all necessary information to produce high quality, accurate designs and complete these within agreed timescales. You will work in a range of CAD packages, mainly Autodesk Inventor - you will customise and make modifications to existing designs while also producing new designs to meet customer demands. You will be responsible for ensuring your drawings are correctly interpreted and providing the installation team with technical support. It is important that you ensure all engineering documentation is up to date and accurate at all times.


What you'll need to succeed
To prove a success in securing the Project Design Engineers role you should be coming with a HNC, HND or Degree in an Engineering related subject. You should be coming with a minimum of 1 years' experience working in a design role within a sheet metal manufacturing environment. You will have proficiency in CAD ideally Autodesk Inventor - strong communication skills and good attention to detail are key.
