Exciting opportunity for a Structural Engineer to join a busy consultancy to work on a wide range of projects

Your new company
Established in 2009 this multi-disciplinary consultancy is able to demonstrate, through the extensive experience of their team, a wide ranging portfolio of projects of varying scale across diverse sectors. They have developed a well respected reputation for delivering design led structural and civil engineering solutions in a timely and cost effective manner. Projects include large scale residential developments, commercial, healthcare, hotels, private residential properties, education, leisure, cultural buildings, regeneration and retail schemes throughout the UK and overseas.They are also experienced in the conservation of historic buildings and extensive remedial and refurbishment work together with a number of complex and structurally demanding specialist projects such as bridges and sculptures.

Your new role
You will undertake structural design and project management on a wide variety of structural engineering projects within the commercial, residential, industrial and education sectors. You will work in a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry and on a range of design tools including Tekkla Tedds, AutoCAD and Revit. You will join a team of varying levels of experience so your knowledge and experience will be required to support and mentor more junior members and you will be able to manage client portfolios. You will be required to work on cross-disciplinary projects, liaising with other teams within the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You hold a B.Eng/M.Eng qualification and have a minimum of 3 years post graduate experience. Ideally you will be chartered or working towards your chartership status through IStructE or ICE. You have design experience and structural analysis skills in all common structural materials including steel, concrete, timber and masonry and you are proficient in relevant engineering design software. You can demonstrate excellent communication skills and you are able to manage numerous projects, allocate resources to meet deadlines and liaise with clients. You are a pro-active individual who is able to make constructive suggestions and contribute positively to the success of your organisation. You can demonstrate a real passion for what you do and an enthusiasm to work hard for your professional success.
