Structural Design Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has become available with our client, a thriving multidisciplinary consultancy, for a Structural Design Engineer with a minimum of 2 years' post-graduation experience to join their office in Hitchin on a full-time permanent basis.

You will be joining their award-winning structures team and will be required to hit the ground running on a range of public & private sector building projects. The successful candidate must have experience and knowledge of RC framed buildings in Residential, Educational, Healthcare, Retail, Commercial or Leisure markets.

An added benefit of this role is that our client encourages an agile working approach with the opportunity for a mix of office and home working to suit individual needs. The ability to be able to attend site their office and site is however essential and the successful candidate would therefore require their own transport.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
• A minimum of 1-2 years' post graduate experience,
• Experience in the design & analysis of all common building materials,
• Previous experience of RC framed buildings,
• Proficient in the use of AutoCAD,
• Knowledge of Eurocodes.

The successful Structural Design Engineer will be gaining exposure to a range of iconic projects, undertaking the structural design & calculations, checking drawings & proposing ideas from a structural perspective and liaising with other disciplines.
