Job Details

An exciting opportunity to join a prestigious Structural Engineering consultancy as a Civil Engineer has arisen. This multidisciplinary company has a vacancy in their London office to join their engineering team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client works on a range of esteemed projects, including the opportunity to join international and government infrastructure schemes. The ideal candidate will be provided with the opportunity to become a qualified engineer through the Institution of Civil Engineers training scheme and will be confident in preparing project proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce highway and drainage designs in relation to medium and large development infrastructure project
  • Producing flood risk assessments and drainage strategies
  • Supervising CAD technicians and engineers
  • Represent the company in external meetings with clients
  • Responsible for delivering work to a fee and a timescale
  • Owning project profitability
  • Preparing client/project proposals
  • Negotiating fee proposals and additional fees
  • Constructing project teams from internal and external resources
  • Procuring project resources

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a private practice
  • Good understanding of highway and drainage section agreements (38, 278 and 104)
  • A competent user of Windes Microdrainage
  • Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and in particular Civil 3D
