QA / Rebar Engineer working on a Major Civil Engineering project in Cumbria

Your new company
Working for an established Civil Engineering Contractor, they specialise in working on large-scale complex Civil Engineering projects and have a presence in the North of the UK. We are looking for an experienced and suitably qualified QA / Rebar Engineer to commence work on their project in South Cumbria

Your new role
As an established and experienced Civil Engineer, you'll be working with the steel fixing and FRC teams to ensure quality checks, and quality assurance for the steel being used on site, as part of the huge FRC frame being constructed

Typical duties will include:

• Liaising with the site supervisors and project management team
• Ensure the quality of the product
• Reading reinforcement drawings
• Facilitating and co-ordinating with the site teams to ensure correct call-offs for steel required for site
• Support design and co-ordination of temporary works for lifts
• Carrying out QC checks

What you'll need to succeed
You'll be suitably qualified by profession or experience to carryout such an integral and important role on site. You'll ideally be a Civil Engineer by profession and it's critical that you have worked on large-scale, complex RC (ideally FRC) projects previously

What you'll get in return
This is a Freelance role for c.12 months on site. In addition to the rate on offer, accommodation is also provided on site for the successful applicant. IR35 status has been determined as outside of scope for this role (although further test may be required prior to commencement of the role)

Hours worked will be day shifts, and operating on a "10 on, 4 off" pattern of work
