Principal / Senior Structural Engineer - Concrete Structures

Location: UK-based Hybrid working, we are open to location and will support remote working. Some travel will be necessary to visit our Design Centres and projects

We have a unique opportunity for an experienced Structural Engineer with a deep understanding of structures to join a specialist technical engineering team who will work across all sectors of the business, offering improved discipline capability and technical governance.

What will the role look like?

• The role involves design optioneering, structural assessment and client management to help lead our structural solutions on complex and exciting projects from concept to construction using state-of-the-art manufacturing, digital and construction techniques.
• You will be the custodian of the LOR discipline knowledge base, owner of the discipline related standards and lead understanding / interpretation of emerging legislation.
• To provide a discipline oversight role on an intervention basis to support projects in appropriately driving technical consistency, ensuring Technical Integrity through the complete project lifecycle.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

• Ideally you will be degree educated to Masters level in Structural Engineering, and a Chartered or Incorporated Member of IStructE / ICE - or actively working towards this
• 7+ years' experience in the design of reinforced concrete
• A balance of Consultancy / design office and site based experience
• Digital Engineering / conversant with BIM software
• Knowledgeable in Construction methods, practices and innovation
