Location - This position is office-based (Victoria) and we operate a hybrid/flexible working model, however you will only be expected to be in the office a maximum of 3 days a week.

The Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority leads the biggest and most complex renovation programme ever seen in the UK. And, as a Knowledge Manager coming in during the initial phase of this exciting programme, you could soon be playing a key role in influencing and shaping its future.

You will be joining our CLIIK team which is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Continuous Learning, Innovation, Improvement and Knowledge. Your challenge will be to lead our extensive knowledge-based activities as we strive to identify, benchmark, and quantify R&R programme value generation against the greatest heritage restoration schemes in the World. But that’s not all. We also publish our own research as part of our legacy to the heritage restoration sector. Accordingly, you’ll take the lead on all knowledge-based research and play a key role in ensuring we produce high quality publications, technical papers, academic journals and digital media productions.

Identifying and coaching individuals in functional teams to become knowledge champions will be an important aspect of the role too. And, when it comes to undertaking assurance reviews, developing knowledge plans for each function or maintaining and improving our CLIIK community hub, again we’ll count on you to deliver. Put simply, if working on one of the top five buildings in the world and helping to redevelop the home of democracy sounds like a challenge you’d relish, here’s your chance.

About you

Your experience could have been gained in relevant built environment sectors - conservation, heritage, architecture, industrial quality, safety or engineering management, or via academia. What’s for certain is that you’re used to managing major capital expenditure projects/programmes and managing/contributing to budgets. You’re also familiar with the fundamentals of knowledge management and know how to draw information out of others and use it to disseminate knowledge. Experience of data collection, analysis and reporting at senior level is important too, as is a proven ability to facilitate and embed learning lessons workshops. A natural collaborator, you have excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate technical information into easily understandable ‘Knowledge Bites’, and a flair for networking, community development and stakeholder management.

We are committed to promoting diversity and to equal opportunities in employment. We are building diverse teams and seek to attract and retain talented individuals from a range of backgrounds and cultures to join us on this hugely challenging and important project.

Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer hybrid/flexible working, 30 days annual leave, a generous pension, discretionary bonus scheme, life assurance and payment of professional membership.

Please apply by submitting a CV and cover letter stating your current salary and benefits, your suitability for the role and if you believe you have any current or potential conflicts of interest relating to this role.

We look forward to receiving your application by 12 noon on Monday 31st January 2022.

Successful candidates will be required to complete security vetting to a minimum Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) level obtained through the Parliamentary Security Department (PSD). Candidates are required to pass these checks before a start date can be confirmed. Depending on the role applied for, applicants should also be aware that if they have resided outside of the UK for a total of more than two of the last five years, they may not be eligible for vetting.
