Your new company
Your new company are a leading manufacturer in their respective industry and are looking to recruit a Maintenance Team Leader at their Burnley site as the current employer is soon to retire.
Your new role
Your new role requires you to organise and lead the maintenance team. Performing and logging maintenance tasks to a suitable standard. Planning, controlling production line maintenance and machine data. PPM Planning, controlling and recording site / facilities maintenance and updates. Obtaining competitive contractor quotes for all works. Managing and overseeing site contractors and projects they complete. RAM's and other documents. Carrying out tasks allocated by management and the helpdesk system. Continuous development and improvements of all production facilities. You will report directly to the Production Manager. Days shift pattern (38 hours a week).
What you'll need to succeed
Experience as an Engineering/Maintenance Team Leader is essential. Mechanical and Electrical aptitude is necessary in order to assess machines and other equipment when they are not operating as required or for improvements. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements is essential, including Risk Assessment, Method Statement and CDM requirements for all types of work. The ability to lead and liaise with other engineers, production supervisors and other staff, across 2 shifts, in order to solve, progress and minimise maintenance problems. Excellent communication skills are a must.
