DESSA are now entering a period of rapid growth and we are looking for a Senior Engineer with the ability to manage a small team and CAD Technicians with a sound knowledge of Autodesk products.  Our Engineering department controls technical and compliance issues relating to our portfolio of products, the design and development of new products within our product development framework.  It also produces, manages, and technically controls project application designs.

Ideally, you will have experience in structural steel or aluminium systems, non-mechanical construction equipment and temporary works, a knowledge of the construction industry, commercial awareness and an ability to communicate at all levels.  You will be expected to keep up-to-date with British and EN standards and industry requirements, control in-house technical specifications for products, liaise with group companies, suppliers, clients and checking authorities.

Our varied work will enable progression to Chartered or Incorporated status if not already obtained and the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of product and project development from conception to completion. 

Positions may require occasional travel for attendance at group conferences, meetings with suppliers or clients and site visits which may be in the UK or overseas.

You will be ambitious, preferably hold a BEng / MEng in Civil / Structural Engineering, have strong organisational and technical skills and an ability to recognise and work to deadlines. Ideally you will have, or be working towards, membership of a professional institution, Structural or Civils with CEng status or similar. However, candidates with exceptional experience will also be considered. You must be eligible to live and work in the UK.

Salary: £30,000 - £60,000 plus benefits depending on experience/qualifications.
