Civil /Structural Engineer ( Project Delivery)

A civil engineer with broad project delivery experience is required by this major client organisation. They are a leader in hydro, wind and conventional energy generation and distribution and are a UK PLC.  

Your role: Your focus will be on the delivery of civil / structural elements of power distribution projects throughout the Southern region. This will involve the co-ordination of multidiscipline design packages and liaison between contractors, project managers and external design consultants. You will carry out design reviews to ensure compliance with civil and structural design specifications and to ensure adherence to safety standards. A key part of your role will be to drive innovation and to identify ways to improve the design process.

About you: A degree qualified civil or structural engineer who has acquired design delivery experience, this could have been gained working within a consulting practice, contractor, client organisation or a project management consultancy. Good interpersonal and organisational skills are essential, you will be working with a range of internal and external stakeholders. The position is  focused on management and delivery, however it is advantageous if your past background includes civil or structural design. Finally good lateral thinking skills and a practical understanding of “buildability” considerations are highly desirable.
