Quantity Surveyor

A well known civils subcontractor based in the West Midlands covering projects including Earthworks, Foundations, Sewers, Roads, Substructures and Highway Construction.

Your new role
You will be working as part of the commercial team as a project quantity surveyor reporting into the commercial manager. You will hold key responsibility over the commercial functions of the role, including monthly costing evaluations, budgeting and forecasting, final accounts, change and early warnings, submitting notices and applications for payment. The role will require stakeholder management, liaising with main clients as well as sub-contractors, engineers on site and project managers. Your commercial acumen should be high in order to negotiate prices and accurately monitor project cost.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have 5+ years' of experience working on Civils and infrastructure projects, preferably working for subcontractors with a main client on a range of projects. You will have particular experience in working on NEC forms of contract. The client is open to receiving applications from candidates with various infrastructure backgrounds. You will have strong interpersonal skills in order to effectively communicate with different elements of the project. You will have a full UK driving license and ideally a formal qualification in a commercial discipline.
