ASSISTANT HIGWAYS ENGINEER/HIGHWAYS ENGINNER
£30,000 - £45,000 per annum + plus benefits (Permanent)
BIRMINGHAMA company are seeking an experienced Assistant Highways Engineer/Highways engineer to join their Highways team as they continue to grow. Working within a market leading highways design team reporting to the Birmingham office but with agile working, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to add value to some of the industry's most challenging and forward-thinking projects. This position is key to the success of the team and the suitable candidate must have extensive experience in a design role gained within a consultancy producing design packages for technical approval and construction. Familiarity and proficiency in the application of relevant design standards (e.g., DMRB) are expected, as is experience in the production and approval of S278/S38 highway design packages. This is a dynamic and exciting role for a candidate looking to progress their career and who enjoys working independently and as part of a team. Key responsibilities: Supporting the Project Team in designing highway schemesPreparing scheme drawings, from feasibility design through to detailed designPreparing or checking horizontal and vertical alignments in 3D modelsEnsuring tasks are carried out within agreed timescales and budgetsCo-ordinating the highway design process and integrating with other design disciplines within a multi-disciplinary teamWorking alongside Clients and stakeholders on technical aspects of projectsKeeping up to date with current methods and design guidelinesAppropriate previous experience of working in this fieldAbility to act on own initiative and operate in a proactive wayAbility to work collaboratively and integrate into multi-disciplinary teams or work independentlyProficient in the use of AutoCADExperienced in preparing drawings and reportsWorking towards professional qualifications To be considered for this role we require the following experience, qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes. * Relevant Civil Engineering degree.For more information on this fantastic opportunity then speak to Andrew Sparks at Conrad Consulting 02038542961
