Civil Technician

Our client offers a diverse portfolio of demanding and sophisticated projects for you to work on, including commercial buildings, sports facilities, residential complexes, hotels, and education facilities.

Our client, based in Western Edinburgh, is a well-established multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with over 40 years' experience. The directors place a strong emphasis on providing all employees with the training and support they need to achieve chartership and other professional qualifications, as well as offering a fast-track to director program.

They are looking to expand their office to meet up with the demands of their clients and their growing project pipeline.

Working under minimal supervision and reporting directly to two additional Senior Civil Technicians, you will be utilising your creative skills whilst learning and developing your career.

Although a modern, hybrid working style is a genuine option, Senior Civil Technicians want to have all fresh faces in the office as possible so that hands-on support can be offered as needed and synergy amongst all Civil Technicians can be established more easily.

Responsibilities:

• Produce road, drainage, and site level infrastructure plans and detailing.
• Use AutoCAD, PDS modelling, and other design applications to create designs.
• Communicate with co-workers to ensure that work is coordinated.

Requirements:

• AutoCAD and Civils 3D knowledge
• Roads and Drainage experience
• Ability to work with little supervision and manage workloads
• Thorough knowledge of the applicable Codes of practice and design standards
