Civil Engineer

Our client is a global multidisciplinary engineering firm that is actively recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineer to work in their central Edinburgh design office on a permanent basis.

Throughout the UK and beyond, the firm offers a diverse range of intriguing and complex infrastructure projects.

Many project wins in the healthcare, biotech, defence, correctional, rail, industrial, commercial, and food & drink industries have led to the expansion of the Modern Edinburgh office.

The busy design firm is currently working on a major custodial facility, a local hospital, and a variety of other infrastructural projects.

You will be given creative freedom to produce Civil infrastructural designs, attend site visits, lead projects on occasion, and assist junior engineers as you rise within the organisation.

All the above can be done from the comfort of your own home, 2/3 days of the week

Day-to-day breakdown

• Work with clients in a proactive manner to ensure that the best solutions are offered.
• Develop, implement, and monitor scheduling and reporting programmes
• Attend site inspections and project status meetings
• Offer junior engineers' advice, mentoring, and support
  

Profile

• Experience with several design packages, such as AutoCAD, Civils3d, WinDes, Micro drainage, etc
• Chartered or near chartered status
• 3+ years of experience working in a similar design firm
