You’ll work with a team of engineers and stakeholders to deliver sustainable transport schemes. This will include leading on the design of projects to improve streets and other government assets to provide better facilities for walking and cycling and to enhance the quality of the public realm.
Stakeholder management skills will be key as you’ll work closely with other authorities, organisations, and the public. Using graphical software to explain schemes to the community will be crucial, as will the data analysis expertise and exceptional communication skills to liaise effectively with technical colleagues and the non-technical community.
Our Transport Project Engineers should be either chartered engineer (e.g., ICE, CIHT, IHE) or working towards that professional standard with experience working on projects for public infrastructure.
We also value project management skills and team leadership experience to ensure projects are clearly defined and expertly delivered.
