Mechatronic/Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Your new role

A trained electrical biased maintenance engineer, providing breakdown and maintenance to cover on a varied range of machinery and facilities.

You must be able to respond immediately to equipment failures during your shift raised by the production team. You will use manuals and failure history to conduct accurate fault diagnosis, determine effective solutions, repair the fault and record the nature of the fault.

You will conduct machine and facility observations during the shift, identifying potential safety risks and taking necessary actions to remove the hazard. You will also conduct risk assessments prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards. You will ensure that the equipment is handed back to production in a 100% safe condition.

You will assist with the closure of safety actions identified via audits, accident/incident investigation or legal compliance. You will book out inventory items used on jobs, perform stock checks and report stock concerns or part requirements to Maintenance Supervisor.

Continental shifts:

2 X 7am-7pm then

2 X 7pm-7am then

4 days off

What you'll need to succeed

You must have HNC/HND qualification or equivalent in electrical engineering. You must have NVQ time served apprentice in Electrical or Mechanical engineering (or equivalent). You must have worked in a factory environment. You must have experience in PLCs and how they function, with experience of a wide range of motors, inverters, servo's and DC drives.
