Multi-Skilled Electrical/ Maintenance Engineer | Nelson | Full-Time Permanent| up to £38,300 DOE

You will be operating in our headquarters at the Nelson branch, and join our highly successful department, specialising in a growing field within the industry. Your new role
In your new role, you will be part of the maintenance team whose priority is to deal with machine breakdowns, therefore, close attention to detail will be required. Alongside this, you will need to use your own initiative, have strong strategic thinking and logic, enabling you to detect prior arising issues. Must be able to respond in a timely manner to machinery breakdowns and equipment failures during your shift and work as a team when such problems arise. Manuals have been prepared and will be referred to provide a breakdown history to assist with your fault diagnostic and pre assessments. Safety is a priority, therefore; you will minimise the risk by actively assessing and locating potential hazards during your shift. You will conduct a risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and always log and record findings, actions, and outcomes. When stock needs to be ordered you will assist the team responsible to make this process run smoothly without delay. Alongside this, stock checks will be required, and all items logged and stored correctly. Working patterns fall Monday - Friday

  • 1 week of earlies 6am- 2pm followed by
  • 1 week of lates 2pm-10pm

There will also be overtime availability.

What you'll need to succeed An interest in transformation of the world of engineering with the notion of helping grow a thriving company to further success.
You must be qualified to HNC/HND Level or have an equivalent qualification. You must have an NVQ and be a time served apprentice in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering. Experience preferred but not essential, full training will be provided within the team and ongoing assessment and training will be mandatory.
What you'll get in return In return, you will be paid a competitive annual starting salary of £38,300, rising to £39,900 after probation with further increase potential.
