Associate Structural Engineer

We are working with an established multidisciplinary consultancy that, due to an expanding workload have the opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer to join them in their Central London office on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful Associate Structural Associate will be required to manage, supervise and produce civil and structural design for team members as well as to provide line management activities and will therefore be required to be an enthusiastic, driven and charismatic individual.

Projects: Residential, Commercial, Educational and more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the design and analysis of load-bearing structures or structural elements, such as buildings, bridges, or roadways,
• Oversees site investigations and inspections of structural and civil engineering projects,
• Provide suggestions for structural and civil engineering projects to ensure that standards and requirements are met.
• Ensure the accuracy of technical documentation, such as blueprints, specifications and reports for structural engineering projects,
• Ensures all employees comply with applicable building codes and safety regulations in structural and Civil engineering.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
• A Chartered engineer,
• A minimum of 8 years' experience as a Structural Engineer,
• You will also need to demonstrate that you are capable of managing and leading.
• Experience of developing new and existing client base
• Have considerable experience of working on a variety of projects.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience of contract negotiation at a senior level
• A commercial understanding of fee management is essential.
