Construction Manager Job - HS2 Project - Birmingham - Permanent - Full-Time - Tier 1 Contractor - Civils


Your new company
You will be joining a worldwide leading piling contractor who are the main piling sub-contractor for the BBV joint venture and have the opportunity to work on Britain's new high speed rail line, HS2. Linking the biggest cities in Scotland with Manchester, Birmingham and London, HS2 will deliver faster travel to many towns and cities across Britain. As part of this project, you will be working on piling works on the HS2 stretch from Litchfield to Birmingham to Leamington Spa.

Your new role
In this role you will be reporting to the project manager and be responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring that all work carried out on site is in strict compliance with work procedures and the BMS, working with the project manager to oversee all site activities, making sure apprentices and workforce are fully developed to maximise their competence and also working closely with the whole process team (operations, preconstruction, commercial, plant, resource, QA and design) to ensure an effective and efficient project delivery.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will be an ambitious and driven individual with a clear customer focus with prior experience in delivering major infrastructure projects. You will hold a minimum of managers & professionals' level CPCS qualification and have the ability to effectively manage conflict and negotiation. You will also have a sound understanding of piling and diaphragm wall techniques as well as knowledge of H&S management and training requirements within the BMS.
