Principal Rail Engineer & Rail Design Engineer - Manchester

Your new company has multiple offices across the UK and prides itself on delivering high-quality and quick work to their clients while allowing their engineers and technicians to grow their skillset across multiple sectors.
They are currently running a hybrid working system of people working in their office two days per-week and offer a sociable company with staff nights and meals regularly held throughout the year. All offices have easy access to public transport and motorways with on-site car parks.
Your new role
Your new role will see you working as either a principal rail engineer or design rail engineer across UK based projects. You will be using your conceptual and detailed design experience for new and existing designs as well as completing analysis of varying stations, platforms and both private and public sector schemes.
For the principal engineer you will also be signing off work for junior staff and aiding members of the team with any design, inspection or assessment queries. With this role as is mainly home/ office working, there will be a site visit once every 3 weeks.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will have a minimum of 2-4 years' UK industry experience for the design engineer and 8+ years' UK experience and chartership with either the ICE or IStructE. You will have working experience with companies such as Highways England/ National Highways, Network rail, HS2 or large Local Authority networks.
