SENIOR/PRInCIPAL building control surveyor

£50,000 - £60,000 per annum (Permanent)

MANCHESTER

A company are looking for a Building Control Surveyor to join their existing team to cover the Northeast area of England working either from home, in their offices.

The main aim of the role is to provide advice on a wide range of building control duties and functions. Work effectively in a competitive environment, contribute to the delivery of high quality, cost-effective and customer focused services to ensure that corporate and service objectives are always achieved. The successful applicant will need to be able to provide first-line technical advice in respect of Building Control matters. Act as a technical point of contact for the service on allocated projects commensurate with their knowledge and experience in association with Senior Building Control Surveyors / Team Managers.

Responsibilities:

Delivering all building control functions and services, including pre-application meetings, plan checking, site inspections and visits of various nature.Making decisions on works, applications, notices, and other matters, controlled under the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations 2010, and imminently new Building Safety Regime.Liaising with other partner agencies and authorities, as required in the process of carrying out your duties and responsibilities.Upselling our building control services and specialist services, including other associated provisions.

Required experience:

Membership of CABE, CIOB, RICS or equivalent Conversant with relevant legislation, technical guidance, and the Construction Industry Council Code of Conduct Previous in-house or external building control experience Demonstrable building control case management (portfolio of work) Ability to manage a caseload of regional building control works at different stages of build. Current valid driving licence
