The Role: With the support of your line manager, the principal civil engineer, you will work on a range of national and international projects from concept stages through to detail design and completion. There will be regular contact with client representatives, and you will work alongside the in-house architects and CAD technicians. Your duties will include; the production of specification and designs for road/ track layouts, drainage and pavements, creating 3D civil engineering models, conceptual design input, liaising with the visualisation team to develop simulator models, attending regular site visits entailing occasional international travel.
Your Profile: A degree qualified civil engineer with three or more years design experience, this should ideally have been focused on roads, highways, developer led infrastructure or similar. You should have an interest in exploiting engineering software to its full potential and have had some exposure to 3D design and AutoCAD or MicroStation. Good interpersonal skills are essential, this is a collaborative role working as part of a team bringing you in contact with clients and suppliers. A willingness to learn and develop is essential, you will be expected to progress as the business continues to grow. Training and support will be provided for you to work towards ICE chartership or incorporation.
