Role Purpose
The post holder carries out the Flood and Coastal Risk Asset Inspection programme, making judgements on the condition against recognised standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualifications; 5 GCSE’s or equivalent with Maths and English essential and qualifications in a scientific or engineering subject. Hold or be willing to work towards T98 Visual Asset Inspector Certificate.
- Knowledge of flood risk management activities and broad understanding of wider approaches to river and coastal asset management.
- Good knowledge of ICT including Microsoft Office, databases and web- based data systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety best practice in a field-based environment and ability to work safely and effectively on own initiative and in line with NRW policy and standards.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Participation in the NRW’s incident response duty roster.
