Site Manager - Highways

Your new company
A thriving specialist contractor working in the highway sector are seeking a Freelance Site Manager to join their team on a project based in Birmingham. This position is responsible for managing direct and subcontractor labour to complete inductions, traffic manage for closures, site diaries, surveys of existing works, overall highway maintenance / reporting to Highway England, carriageway improvements, resurfacing and street lighting. Ensuring all health and safety and legislation requirements are met. You will need to be organised, and proactive to resolve any issues that may arise on site. You will need to ensure that the work completed is to the correct standard and in keeping with the programme of works.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience as a site manager working within the highways / road sector. You will hold a managers CSCS, SMSTS and NRSWA certificate. A First Aid Certificate is desirable. You will also require a full UK driving licence.
