Senior Contracts Engineer

Your new company
You will be joining a worldwide leading piling contractor who are the main piling sub-contractor for the BBV joint venture and have the opportunity to work on Britain's new high speed rail line, HS2. Linking the biggest cities in Scotland with Manchester, Birmingham and London, HS2 will deliver faster travel to many towns and cities across Britain. As part of this project, you will be working on piling works on the HS2 stretch from Litchfield to Birmingham to Leamington Spa.

Your new role
In this role you will be reporting to the operations manager and be responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring that the project has clear deliverables through handover meetings with the process team, preparing and collating contract documentation and ensuring submission to the customer in advance of the works, managing the close out of any non-conformities that may arise, preparing site documentation and communicating deliverables to the site supervisor, and demonstrating highly visible and effective HSE and sustainability leadership.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you will be a focussed, positive and thorough individual and have the gravitas and professional credibility to advise senior management when something needs immediate redress with the tenacity and drive to ensure that the necessary action is taken. You will hold a recognised qualification or be working towards a profession qualification (MICE or MIStructE) and hold a valid CSCS card. You will also be able to set, deliver and measure clear targets, and have good commercial acumen as well as working knowledge of contracts.
