Mechanical Engineer- £38k- static- Central London
Your new company
You will be working for a leading provider in Her Majesty Prison Service, who are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their fast-growing team. This role will be a static role based in Central London. It will be a Monday to Friday working 40hours a week. This role we will be paying £38,000 depending on experience on the successful candidate.
Your new role
You'll be part of a diverse maintenance team in the mechanical discipline, covering a mixture of both reactive and planned preventative maintenance. You'll carry out calibration and fault-finding on a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment, in accordance with current standards and health and safety procedures, covering chillers, boilers, FCUs and AHUs, as well as sterilisers, washer and disinfectors, medical gas systems and low pressure hot water systems. You will be responsible for the provision of repairs, refurbishment, and operation in the prison mechanical aspects.
What you'll need to succeed
You'll hold a relevant mechanical qualification, City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 recommended, have previous experience of mechanical maintenance in similar environments, and be conversant in mechanical systems and practices. You'll have a strong work ethic and be capable of working independently as well as part of a team, and will be comfortable with and aware of the demands of working a customer-facing role.
