Structural Engineer - Birmingham

Our client is an international consultancy who offer a range of services including civil & structural engineering, architecture, building services, transport planning and more. They currently have a vacancy for a Structural Engineer to join the structures team in their Birmingham office on a full-time permanent basis to work on schemes that can vary from low-rise units to inner city regeneration sites, including basements and multi-storey construction of reinforced concrete or structural steel.

Responsibilities:

• Structural Engineering design for a variety of building projects, of both new build and renovation/alteration projects,
• Use of design software packages including: Tekla Structural Designer,Tekla Fastrack Suite, CADS Masonry, RC and Foundation design packages & Revit,
• Co-ordination with internal and external design teams,
• Attendance at Design Team and Client meetings,
• Visits to site for inspections and surveys.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent),
• A keen desire to obtain Chartership,
• Between 2-4 years' post-graduation experience,
• A passion for building design,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual
• Candidates must be willing to spend time on site and occasional stays away from home.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
