Senior Estimator

Your new company
You will be joining a family-founded groundworks and civil engineering company based in Birmingham. This organisation has a strong pipeline of work across a multitude of sectors including highways, drainage, commercial and residential works, supporting some of the country's largest construction companies. This company is well known across the industry for delivering each project they take on to the same high standards they are known for. With this organisation you will be working on multiple civils infrastructure projects.

Your new role
You will be reporting into the Commercial Director and be responsible for, but not limited to, ensuring tenders are delivered on time, preparing estimates to meet project goals, managing stakeholder interests, ensuring that all relevant documents and budgets are submitted before tender deadlines as well as formulating contingency plans and effectively managing risks that may impact cost and time estimates.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role and have proven experience in all aspects of estimating for groundworks packages. You will also have a proven track record in the planning, development, negotiation and contract execution of projects. Furthermore, you will be able to confidently estimate from first principles and have experience in calculating major construction cost estimates. In addition, you will be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication skills and be able to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.
