Your new company
You will be joining a family-founded groundworks and civil engineering company based in Birmingham. This organisation has a strong pipeline of work across a multitude of sectors including highways, drainage, commercial and residential works, supporting some of the country's largest construction companies. This company is well known across the industry for delivering each project they take on to the same high standards they are known for. With this organisation you will be working on multiple civils infrastructure projects.
Your new role
You will be reporting into the Commercial Director and be responsible for preparing tenders and contract documents, monitoring the financial performance of all contracts allocated, undertaking cost analysis for the repair and maintenance of project works and submitting monthly evaluations. You will also be responsible for negotiating and placing orders with subcontractors and subsequently evaluating their work and making payment.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed you, will be a proactive and self-motivated team player with ideally at least 5 years' experience quantity surveying on commercial groundworks projects. You will possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and develop relationships. Finally, you will be a commercially aware individual and be able to manage several projects simultaneously.
