Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer - Cardiff - £Negotiable

A fantastic position has arisen for a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer to join our client based in their Cardiff offices.

As a Graduate Geoenvironmental Engineer you will assist with the investigation and assessment of contaminated land, including risk assessment, options appraisal and remediation design, as well as supporting site works from initial investigations through implementation and verification, and the preparation of technical and non-technical reports, including input into relevant EIA chapters.

This exciting role will involve assisting in the delivery of contaminated land assessment within the Land Quality team, covering sites within a broad range of public and private sector clients from a wide variety of disciplines. The role will also include close collaboration with the brownfield remediation/waste team, EIA co-ordinators, environmental specialists and colleagues from other disciplines.

The successful candidate will support the site assessment of potentially contaminated brownfield land, including health and safety considerations, desk study investigation and reporting, and intrusive site investigation design, management, risk assessment and reporting. The role will require outdoor working to cover site works, including site reconnaissance, environmental monitoring and sampling, intrusive investigation, and supervision of ground engineering works. Additionally, assistance will be required in the preparation/presentation of proposals/bids as required, and on a range of EIA tasks, including site visits, risk assessment and reporting, to fulfil the requirements of projects.

Full support to Chartership will be provided, including being assigned a mentor to regularly review progress and career development.
