A busy engineering consultancy based in Dunfermline is looking to appoint an Associate Director to their Dunfermline office on a permanent basis. The reason for the hire is due to a healthy project pipeline, that secures work for several years and the planned opening of a Glasgow office.
An aspect of your role is signing off on various structural designs as a SER Certifier, although a very important aspect of your role this is not your main responsibility.
Your focus within this role is to manage a small team of engineers, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring that all projects are completed as per client briefs on time, to budget and to the highest possible standards.
You will be an experienced Structural Engineer with a strong technical design background with an appetite to grow and expand a business by attracting new clients, whilst maintaining current relationships.
Typical projects range from new retail units to substations with Scottish power to residential developments and industrial estates.
Due to the diverse client base that they have, they are in a very fortunate position that keeps them very stable for several years to come.
Duties of the successful Associate Director
- Meet clients ensuring projects are completed as per brief, on time and to the highest standards
- Prepare and direct designs, specifications, and progress reports
- Develop, train and mentor more junior engineers
What you will need
- A degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
- MIStructE status or equivalent
- SER Registration
- Experience within a similar design consultancy
- Strong communication skills
- £60,000 - 70,000 Per Annum
