A great opportunity to join our dynamic and developing Design Teams.

As a forward-thinking in-house business unit, Hampshire Engineering Services offers a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities. Our Structures Team are looking for a highly motivated Bridge Inspector to assist with the inspection of 1750 highway structure assets. We have a great team environment, and we support and develop our engineers, so they are continuously developing their skills.

Working in the Structures Team you will be responsible for completing Principal and General inspections on all forms of highway structures, including bridges, culverts and retaining walls, with due regard to hazards, safety and risk. You will identify, record, and evaluate maintenance needs and prepare works orders to ensure the continued safe functioning of Hampshire’s highway structures. You should have a good understanding of bridge behaviour and repair methods.
