The company has a broad portfolio of projects throughout the UK and overseas. They cover sectors including commercial, leisure, healthcare, scientific and higher education schemes. Due to continued success, they are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join their innovative team. A starting salary of £50,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience and chartership status, with the flexibility to split your working week between home and office bases. REQUIREMENTS: -

Collaborating with the project delivery team to create and develop designs, including for foul and surface water drainage; highways; roadways; and car parkingProviding high quality concept, preliminary, and detailed technical designs for SuDS components, for adoptable as well as private drainage schemesPreparing Developer Enquiries, Environment Agency product requests and LLFA information requests, relating to drainage designs, flood risk assessments and drainage strategiesPreparing S104, S106 and S185 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Drainage Authority and Planning AuthorityCalculation of traffic profiles to determine pavement/road build-up designs.Preparing S278, S38 application forms and associated packages for submission to the Highway Authority and Planning AuthorityUsing Microdrainage (Windes) to create, analyse, simulate, and size the network drainage and SuDS components, as well as understand and interpret the analysis resultsUsing Civil 3D to carry out a range of design assignments such as groundworks platforms, highways alignments and profiles, cut/fill exercises, and external works layoutExpertise in a range of relevant software packages including but not limited to Micro Drainage (WinDes), Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Microsoft suite of programsRecent, relevant experience of detailed design for a variety of drainage works including but not limited to residential schemes, commercial schemes, car parks, and industrial schemesKnowledge and application of design guides including but not limited to Sewers for Adoption, Design Manual for Roads, and Bridges (DMRB) and BS 7533 for permeable pavement designs, BRE Digest 365, the Building Regulations Part H, and CIRIA C753 (SuDS Manual)This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a well-respected Engineering consultancy located near Derby.
