Principal Structural Engineer

Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Principal Structural Engineer to join their successful Edinburgh office on a permanent basis.

This is a unique opportunity to work with one of the UK's largest privately owned engineering consultancies as they capitalise on a period of several large projects wins.

As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead active projects across commercial, retail, residential and industrial sectors ranging from the small bespoke to large scale developments.

In addition, you will;

• Prepare site appraisals and pre-planning assessments
• Manage and review reports, designs and drawings that have been completely by the wider team
• Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders
• Attend design meetings
• Contribute to business development through networking and preparation of bids
• Deliver work in compliance with health and safety
• Project management, team management and budgetary control

PRINCIPAL STRUCUTRAL ENGINEER PROFILE

• Degree in Structural/Civil Engineering
• Chartered status (MICE or IstructE)
• SER certifier status provide a distinct advantage
• Excellent working knowledge of building structures and infrastructure design at concept, feasibility, and preliminary level
• Strong understanding of policy and design standards

ON OFFER

• £45,000 - £55,000 Per annum
• 31 days annual leave (plus extra 3 days taken over festive period)
