Civil Engineer

Our client provides a full range of multi-disciplinary technical consultancy services specialising in Civil, Structural and Infrastructural engineering.

They have an enviable project pipeline that just keeps growing and as a result they are planning steady and sustainable growth.

To continue this success, they are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer to join their team based in their central Glasgow premises on a full-time permanent basis.

Our client offers the successful Civil Engineer strong career progression opportunities and access to a large project portfolio to work on that consists of mixed-use facilities, residential property, office buildings, shopping centres, retail parks, industrial buildings, educational facilities, roads, bridges, and general infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Produce infrastructure designs and detailing of roads, drainage and site levels
• Produce infrastructure designs using AutoCAD, Civils3d and similar design software
• Liaise with colleagues to ensure exchange of best practice(s) and successful project delivery
• Occasionally, you will take a design lead when required

Requirements:

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civils 3D
• Comfortable working with minimal supervision, managing own workloads
• Strong working knowledge of the relevant Codes of Practice and Design Standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough understanding of highways, access roads and temporary works
